The Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLiBF) will be happening from the 27th of April to the 6th of May 2012. The event expects to attract more than 1.5 million visitors this year. With hundreds of local and international book publishers and distributors expected to take part, this is certainly a big book affair you don’t want to miss!
For those of you techies who might wanna consider putting down e-books for a while, or you casual readers looking for a good read, or you reading machines who are looking forward to finish a book in a single sitting, you’ll be pleased to know that they’ll be more than 840 booths to cater to your needs!
The KLIBF 2012, themed ‘World Without Borders’, will be held at the Dewan Tun Hussein Onn, Dewan Tun Dr. Ismail, Dewan Tun Razak 3, 4 and Legar Putra, Putra World Trade Center (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur. You can pay a visit from 10am to 7pm ( Monday to Thursday ) or hop by from 10am to 9pm ( Friday to Sunday ). Admission is Free!!!! For inquiries, you can contact the National Book Council of Malaysia (MBKM) at +603-8321 7011. Alternatively, you can check out the official website or find them on Facebook.
Suggestions : Before you embark on your reading journey, you might want to bring sufficient water and a snack as food and drinks might not be easily available ( speaking from experience – we were starving by the time we got out of the Big Bad Wolf Booksale last year) . Also, as we all know travelling to KL by wheels can be extremely tormenting (we all have at least one bad experience), you might wanna opt to travel by rail instead. You can utilise the Rapid KL Ampang Line LRT and drop off at the PWTC LRT station or travel by KTM to the Putra Komuter station.
Happy Reading, peeps!
